The Invisible Man (2000)

Synopsis:

Darien Fawkes is recruited by a spy organization and given the power of invisibility. Fawkes can secrete a light-bending substance called "Quicksilver" from his pores and follicles. The substance quickly coats his skin, hair, nails and clothes and renders him invisible. He can consciously release the Quicksilver, which then flakes off and disintegrates. However, the Quicksilver gland was sabotaged at its creation by scientist Arnaud DeFöhn to release a neurotoxin that accumulates in the bloodstream and causes intense pain, followed by antisocial behavior and psychosis. The host requires regular doses of counteragent to keep him sane and healthy.

Synopsis:

Experimenting with molecular disintegration, Dr. Daniel Westin discovers the side effect of his work is the ability to turn objects invisible. He discovers that objects and living test animals reappear after a few hours. Obsessed by his invention, Daniel decides to become invisible himself.  In an attempt to protect his invention from the government, a horrible accident happens in his lab and he is left permanently invisible.

Synopsis:

Based on the novel by H.G. Wells, the series follows the adventures of Doctor Peter Brady, who while attempting to achieve invisibility with light refraction accidentally turns himself permanently invisible. Declared a state secret and locked up, he convinces the government to allow him to return to his laboratory and search for an antidote. Instead, the government recruits him for assignments using his invisibility to help people in trouble, as well as solve crimes and defeat spies for his country.
