9/8/11 - John Malkovich is in negotiations to play the baddie in Warm Bodies, Summit’s adaptation of the zombie-centered book by Isaac Marion, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Jonathan Levine is directing the story, which follows an existentially tormented zombie named R that begins an unlikely friendship with the human girlfriend of one of his victims. The blossoming relationship begins to flower the zombie’s dormant humanity.  The film is being produced by Bruna Papanadrea through her Make Movies banner and Mandevill’s David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman.  Executive producing areLaurie Webb and Cori Shepherd Stern.

3/29/11 - Teresa Palmer is in talks to star opposite Nicholas Hoult in Summit's zombie love story Warm Bodies, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Jonathan Levine is directing the project, which follows an existentially tormented zombie named R that begins an unlikely friendship with the human girlfriend (Palmer) of one of his victims. The blossoming relationship starts a chain reaction that will transform him, his fellow zombies and maybe the whole lifeless world.  Palmer's character is described as the daughter of one of the humans' military leaders who is tiring of a life of constantly fighting off zombie attacks.  The project is based on a book by Isaac Marion that will be published by Atria Books, a division of Simon and Schuster.  The film is being produced by Bruna Papanadrea and executive produced by Laurie Webb and Cori Shepherd Stern.  Production on the film is slated to commence this summer.

3/2/11 - Nicholas Hoult has been cast in Summit’s Warm Bodies, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Jonathan Levin is directing the story which, in a tone similiar to Twilight meets Shaun of the Dead, follows an existentially-tormented zombie named R that begins an unlikely friendship with the human girlfriend of one of his victims. The blossoming relationship starts a chain reaction that will transform him, his fellow zombies and maybe the whole lifeless world.  The project is based on a book by Isaac Marion.  The film is being produced by Bruna Papanadrea and executive produced by Laurie Webb and Cori Shepherd Stern.  Production on the film is slated to commence this summer.

1/20/10 - Jonathan Levine will write and direct the zombie romance movie Warm Bodies, based on a book by Isaac Marion, Variety reported. The story centers on a zombie who begins an unlikely friendship with the girlfriend of one of his victims and starts a chain reaction that will transform him and his fellow zombies.
