Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

6/8/11 - Magnet Releasing has picked up U.S. rights to Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  A Eli Craig horror comedy, Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine star as the besieged title characters, two gentle rednecks mistaken for killers and attacked by a gaggle of college kids that have seen too many horror movies. Gore galore and great one-liners ensue.  “It’s hard to imagine a horror/comedy more funny, commercial and lovable than Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil,” said Magnet exec Tom Quinn, who negotiated the deal with Thomas Augsberger of Eden Rock Media. “Its growing reputation is well deserved, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring it to U.S. audiences."  Magnet will first release the film nationwide Aug. 26 on its Ultra VOD program, then put it in theaters Sept. 30.

7/9/09 - Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk are starring in Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, a genre-bending indie horror comedy being directed by Eli Craig, according to The Hollywood Reporter; Labine stars as Dale and Tudyk is Tucker, two good-natured hillbillies mistakenly accused of being psycho killers.
