Andrew Knauer wrote the original spec script that was subsequently rewritten by Jeffrey Nachmanoff and more recently, George Nolfi. 4/7/11 - Arnold Schwarzenegger is considering The Last Stand, a Lionsgate action project being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Jee-Woon Kim is directing the crime thriller, which is set in motion when a cartel leader breaks out of a courthouse and speeds to the Mexican border.  The only thing standing in his way is a bordertown sheriff and his inexperienced staff.  Andrew Knauer wrote the spec script, which was worked on by Jeffrey Nachmanoff.  Sources say Schwarzenegger is in early negotiations for the part of the sheriff, although his agency, CAA, could not confirm the dealmaking and Lionsgate had no comment.  Yeah, yeah...I know it's not sci-fi but who cares.  Arnold is back!
