10/18/11 - Tandem Communications and Ridley and Tony Scott's Scott Free have released the first cast photo from their upcoming miniseries Labyrinth.  The 4-hour miniseries is based Kate Mosse’s best-selling thriller.  Mosse’s tale is an adventures story set in modern and medieval France which centres on two women's search for the holy grail. Delivery is set for late summer 2012.  Other talent on location at the Labyrinth set includes director Christopher Smith; actress Vanessa Kirby, who plays Alice Tanner; Captain America's Sebastian Stan, who plays Will and Jessica Brown-Findlay of Downton Abbey who plays Alais Pelletier du Mas.  Also on the Labyrinth cast are Harry Potter alumnus Tom Felton, Emun Elliott and Katie McGrath.

9/29/11 – Variety reported that John Hurt and Sebastian Stan are toplining The Labyrinth, the TV adaptation of Kate Mosse's medieval bestseller about a quest for the Holy Grail.  Christopher Smith is directing the four-hour event miniseries, which tells two connected stories set 800 years apart -- that of a modern-day archaeologist who makes a startling discovery in a cave in the south of France, and that of a young woman living in nearby Carcassonne in 1209. A stronghold of the outlawed Cathar Christians, the city becomes a military target after the Catholic Church declares the sect heretical.  Adrian Hodges is penning the series.  Set for delivery in summer 2012, the show will also star Janet Suzman, Jessica Brown-Findlay, Vanessa Kirby, Katie McGrath, Emun Elliott and Claudia Gerini.  Labyrinth will begin principal photography in October in Carcassonne and in the Aude Cathar country in the south of France and later move to South Africa.  Mosse's novel has been published in more than 38 languages, making both the New York Times hardcover and paperback bestseller lists, as well as becoming the U.K.'s bestselling fiction title of 2006.
