12/18/08 - Barry Sonnenfeld will direct and produce the SF action comedy The How-To Guide for Saving the World from BenDavid Grabinski's script, Variety reported.  The title refers to an instruction manual for saving the world, which is left behind by a secret group that protects the Earth from alien invaders after the group is wiped out.  "Unfortunately, a non-action-hero guy not unlike me, in terms of manliness, and a woman who hates him find the book and have to save the planet from an impending attack," Sonnenfeld said.
