2/9/10 - Tom Felton will join Ashley Greene and Sebastian Stan in The Apparition, a supernatural horror movie for Joel Silver's Dark Castle genre label, Variety reported; the story centers on a young couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment.

1/5/10 - Sebastian Stan will star opposite Ashley Green in The Apparition, a supernatural horror project from Dark Castle Entertainment, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Todd Lincoln is directing. Stan joins Green in the story of a couple who are haunted by a supernatural presence that is unleashed during a college experiment. Lincoln wrote the script, which is said to be inspired by true events. Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman are producing. Steve Richards, Sue Baden Powell and Daniel Alter are exec producing. Shooting is scheduled to begin Feb. 1 in Germany's Studio Babelsberg.

11/25/09 – Joel Silver has plans to make a leading lady out of Twilight co-star Ashley Greene. New Moon's Alice Cullen will star in the ghost story that Silver is producing. "She came and met with us, and she really wanted to do this kind of movie," Silver said. "I mean, she does have some clearly ... strong genre chops. She wanted to do it, and she's a very beautiful girl, and we thought it was a good person for the movie, and so we made a deal. It's a ghost story. That's all I'll tell you now."

5/8/09 - Dark Castle has hired Todd Lincoln to write and direct The Apparition, a haunted-house movie supposedly based on true events, for Joel Silver's genre label, Variety reported.  Details of the project, an original idea developed by Lincoln, Dark Castle executive Alex Heineman and producer Daniel Alter, is being kept under wraps.  Apparition marks the second project Lincoln and Alter have conjured up at Warner Brothers-based Dark Castle over the past month, after setting up the sci-fi thriller The Nye Incidents there.
