Brothers Grimm: Snow White 7/18/11 - Sean Bean has been cast as Snow White's father in Relativity Media's as-of-yet untitled Snow White film, the studio confirmed to Access Hollywood. The fairytale re-imagining, which is currently shooting in Montreal, also stars Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen, Armie Hammer as the charming Prince Andrew Alcott and Lily Collins as the fair-complexioned heroine.
5/24/11 - Relativity Media has moved up its untitled Brothers Grimm: Snow White movie to March 16, 2012. The switch-up comes only days after Universal boldly slotted its Show White film to open just before Relativity’s film. Relativity’s Snow White will now debut in theaters on March 16, 2012, instead of June 29, 2012. March is a lucrative frame for family-friendly fare, such as Relativity’s Snow White, starring Julia Roberts, Lily Collins and Armie Hammer.
2/10/11 - Julia Roberts will star as the Queen in the upcoming untitled Snow White feature, based on the Brothers Grimm story, Relativity Media announced. "Julia was our first and only choice to play the Queen," Relativity's CEO Ryan Kavanaugh said. "She is an icon, and we know that she will make this role her own in a way that no one else could." According to Relativity, the story will be "a more modern tale full of comedy and adventure. After her evil stepmother kills her father and destroys the kingdom, Snow White bands together with a gang of seven quarrelsome dwarfs to reclaim what is rightly hers." Pre-production has already begun on the Tarsem Singh-directed movie with principal photography slated to start April. The untitled "Snow White" feature is slated to hit the big screen on June 29, 2012.
