2/11/09 - Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures is remaking the Danish movie Room 205, Variety reported.  Ghost House has tapped Room 205 director Martin Barnewitz to helm the English-language remake, which is being redubbed The Dorm.  The story centers on a college freshman who moves into a dorm only to find that her room is haunted by sinister forces. Stephen Susco, who wrote The Grudge and The Grudge 2, is adapting.

2/2/09 – Sam Raimi will shoot a small-budget supernatural thriller film, Room 205, in Michigan, The Oakland Press reported. Based on Danish director Martin Barnewitz's 2007 film, "Room 205 is about a haunted dorm room," Raimi told the paper. "It's a neat screenplay that will become a lovely, bright Midwestern university and tell about how kids become adjusted to their new surroundings. In the midst of that, the supernatural will rear its terrifying head." Screenwriter Stephen Susco will help Raimi adapt the original.
