Revolution (TV)

5/7/12 – NBC has picked up Revolution, an adventure drama from J.J. Abrams and Eric Kripke, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  In the epic adventure thriller, a family struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic American landscape: a world of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters, where every single piece of technology -- computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights -- has mysteriously blacked out ... forever.  Billy Burke, David Lyons, Giancarlo Esposito, Tracy Spiridakos, Graham Rogers, Anna Lise Phillips, Tim Guinee, Andrea Roth, JD Pardo and Zak Orth round out the cast.  Kripke will write and exec produce alongside Abrams and Bryan Burk. Jon Favreau will direct the Warner Bros. Television-Bad Robot production, which filmed in Atlanta.

2/27/12  - Giancarlo Esposito has been tapped to co-star in J.J. Abrams' NBC drama pilot Revolution, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Revolving around a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist, Esposito will play Capt. Neville, a tough military man with a genteel Southern manner who may not always be what he seems.  Eric Kripke will pen the pilot with Abrams, and Bryan Burk is on board to executive produce. Jon Favreau will direct the Warner Bros. Television/Bad Robot Productions project.  Esposito joins the previously cast Tracy Spiradakos, Graham Rogers and Anna Lise Phillips.

2/3/12 - NBC has given pilot orders to Revolution, a dramatic thriller from J.J. Abrams and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Described as an epic adventure thriller, the Warner Bros. Television project follows a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist.  Kripke will pen the script with Abrams and Bryan Burk on board to exec produce via their Bad Robot shingle.
