8/9/11 – Syfy.com posted that Screen Gems' Resident Evil: Retribution will have its fifth film. Paul WS Anderson will both direct and write the screenplay.  Mila Jovovich will once again reprise her role as the franchise heroine Alice.  The film is scheduled to hit theaters on Sept 14, 2012.
