1/28/09 - Isla Fisher has joined the cast of Gore Verbinski's animated adventure movie Rango as the female voice lead, Variety reported.  Fisher will play alongside Johnny Depp and Abigail Breslin, who have already joined the cast of the Paramount Pictures project. Alfred Molina, Ray Winstone, Harry Dean Stanton and Ned Beatty round out the voice cast.  The story centers on a household pet (Depp) who goes on an adventure to discover his true self.

9/10/08 - Johnny Depp will reunite with Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski on Rango, an animated movie that Paramount will finance and distribute, Variety reported.  The studio has slotted the film for a March 2011 release.  Depp will voice the lead character, a household pet who goes on an adventure to discover his true self.  John Logan wrote the script from an idea hatched by Verbinski.
