10/10/11 – Variety reported that Magnet Releasing has picked up U.S. rights to Playback, the Michael A. Nickles horror film with Christian Slater among its cast.  The film centers on a group of teens whose investigation into their hometown's shady past unearths an evil spirit that possesses its victims. Toby Hemingway, Johnny Pacar and Ambyr Childers are among the cast.  Film is produced by Lawrence Robbins and John M. Bennett of Bennett Robbins Prods.
