No Heroics

3/19/09 - Freddie Prinze Jr. will star on ABC's superhero comedy pilot No Heroics, which revolves around four B-list superheroes living among us, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Three of the central characters will be played by Eliza Coupe, Arielle Kebbel and Canadian actor Paul Campbell, who plays the leader of the group, Pete, aka Chillout, a Canadian-born superhero who can freeze small objects.  Prinze will play his nemesis and tormentor, Bradley, aka Ultimatum, the personification of everything Pete despises and secretly wishes he could be.  Kebbel will play the sweetheart of the group.

 

3/9/09 - Eliza Coupe has been tapped for a lead in ABC's comedy No Heroics.  ABC Studios' Heroics revolves around four B-list superheroes living among us. Coupe will play one of them, a bad girl who can turn invisible.

 

2/19/09 - British comedy writer and show-runner Drew Pearce is heading to America to work on a pilot of his superhero-spoofing sitcom, No Heroics, for ABC.  The ITV original series features a cast of neurotic superheroes trying to fit into everyday life.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, the U.S. version of No Heroics will be written by Pearce and American co-writer Jeff Greenstein. "I have high hopes for it right now," Pearce said. Pearce confirmed that the ABC show will be set in the same world as ITV's production. "Everyone seems to be excited about the all-new script and characters," he added. "So, we're keeping fingers crossed."
