Man-Witch
7/23/09 – SCI FI Wire reported that Zach Galifianakis isn't making a Man-Witch just yet.  Jack Black was circling the comedy, which would follows the (mis)-adventures of a grown man who nurtures his recently discovered supernatural abilities by attending an all-girls' witch school. Black ultimately exited the project, and Galifianakis was reportedly set to step into Black's shoes.  Galifianakis revealed that Man-Witch is on the back burner.  "That's not too close," Galifianakis said. "It's a script I liked, and it was a funny PG movie. A lot of comedies these days are very hard R or they're very family-oriented. I was talking about doing it about a month ago, but the director Todd Phillips that was going to direct, he lost interest in directing it and wanted to produce it. When he lost interest in directing it, I kind of was, ... now, I'm a little hesitant, because I was comfortable with him directing it."

06/12/08 - Jack Black has dropped out of the supernatural comedy Man-Witch at Warner Brothers. The studio confirmed that Black will not star in the film, which centers on a man who discovers he's got witch-like abilities and ends up teaching little girl witches-in-training.  Man-Witch had a tentative January start date before Black disengaged, and is moving forward on schedule.

06/19/07 - Jack Black and Todd Phillips are teaming on Warner Brothers supernatural comedy film Man-Witch.  In the comedy, Black will play a schoolteacher who suddenly discovers he has witchlike abilities. Taken in by a coven, he is persuaded to attend a school for witches, only to discover that his classmates are all girls.
