Land of the Lost
1/12/09 – SCIFI Wire reported that Danny McBride, who plays Will in the upcoming Land of the Lost movie, said the re-imagining of the classic children's TV show will feature virtual creatures that compare favorably with those in Jurassic Park and Cloverfield.  Mc Bride stars alongside Will Ferrell as has-been scientist Dr. Rick Marshall and Anna Friel as Holly, who are sucked into an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures. Based on the Sid and Marty Krofft show, Land of the Lost is directed by Brad Silberling and comes out June 5th.

 

03/17/08 - Anna Friel said recently that she will play a grown-up version of Holly in the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Land of the Lost.  Will Ferrell is Rick Marshall, and Danny McBride is Will.  Friel said that the movie will be faithful to Sid and Marty Krofft's 1970s children's series, about a family that finds itself thrown back in time into a land of dinosaurs, cavemen and lizard-like Sleestaks.  Land of the Lost is slated for release in 2009.

 

11/02/07: Universal Pictures has given a green light to a comedic take on the SF TV series Land of the Lost, starring Will Ferrell, which begins production in March.  Brad Silberling will direct the film. Jimmy Miller is producing, along with the Kroffts; Julie Wixson-Darmody and Daniel Lupi will executive-produce.

 

12/31/06 - Will Ferrell will star in a new film based on the 1970s TV show Land of the Lost Land of the Lost centered on forest ranger Rick Marshall and his children, Will and Holly, who are caught in a time vortex while rafting on the Colorado River and transported to a mysterious world populated by dinosaurs.  Until a release date is determined, check out this site.  www.landofthelost.com Land of the LostLand of the Lost
