Kung Fu Panda 2: Pandamonium
10/2/08 - DreamWorks Animation is moving forward with a 3-D Kung Fu Panda sequel, titled Pandamonium and slotted for release on June 3, 2011, Variety reported.  Jack Black and Angelina Jolie have signed on to reprise their voice roles in the movie, which will be helmed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, head of story on Kung Fu Panda.  The sequel centers on Po, the world's biggest kung fu fan, as he continues his journey as the chosen one who fulfills an ancient prophecy while mastering the art of kung fu.

 

7/30/08 - Mark Osborne, co-director of Kung Fu Panda, expects a sequel will be in the works soon.  Osborne, who directed the film with John Stevenson, added that he hasn't had talks yet about any future storylines. "At this point, I don't know exactly what the plans are," he said. "I think there's stuff in the works, but I'm taking a little vacation, and then I'm actually going back to a project I've been developing for a while."
