I Walked With a Zombie

3/16/09 - RKO's Roseblood Movie Co. and Twisted Pictures have set Adam Marcus to direct I Walked With a Zombie, the remake of the Val Lewton RKO 1943 classic, Variety reported.  Marcus has written the script with Debra Sullivan.  Zombie focuses on a private tutor who discovers a terrifying family secret while working at the ancient estate of a New Orleans businessman. The original was a forerunner of the corps of walking-corpse films that followed.

2/11/09 - Producer/director Andy Fickman is currently developing four RKO Pictures horror remakes with Twisted Pictures, starting with I Walked With a Zombie, based on a strange 1943 movie.  Adam Marcus, who helmed Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, will direct the movie, about a nurse who uses voodoo to resurrect the wife of a plantation manager. "We're just getting ready to start going out for casting on that, and we'll film that in New Orleans in the spring," Finkman said.
