I Hop

5/6/10 - Elizabeth Perkins will join I Hop, the live-action/CG-animated hybrid comedy from Illumination Entertainment and Universal.  Tim Hill is directing I Hop, a tale of an out-of-work slacker (James Marsden) who accidentally injures the son of the Easter Bunny (voiced by Russell Brand) and must take him in as he recovers.  Perkins will play Marsden's exasperated mother.  Illumination Entertainment's Chris Meledandri and John Cohen are producing, which has just begun production.

 

1/25/10 - James Marsden has signed on to star opposite Russell Brand in I Hop, a live-action/CG-animated hybrid comedy from Illumination Entertainment and Universal, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Tim Hill directs this tale of an out-of-work slacker (Marsden) who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (voiced by Brand) and must take him in as he recovers. As Fred struggles with the world's worst houseguest, both will learn what it takes to finally grow up. Cinco Paul, Ken Daurio and Brian Lynch are writing the screenplay. Illumination's Christopher Meledandri and John Cohen are producing.

 

7/15/09 - Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment have firmed up a March 4, 2011, release date for I Hop, a live-action/CGI family comedy in which Russell Brand has been set to provide the voice of the Easter Bunny, which is to be directed by Alvin and the Chipmunks' Tim Hill, Variety reported.
