12/11/09 - Bryce Dallas Howard joins the upcoming supernatural thriller Hereafter, according to Variety.  The movie is scripted by Peter Morgan and will be directed by Clint Eastwood.  Matt Damon is also signed to star in the movie, which has been described as a story about how three people from very different backgrounds are all touched by death. Eastwood told MTV's Movie Blog that Hereafter is "a story that's actually three stories of people who have had traumatic experiences in their life, and how these stories converge towards one another. It ends up with all three stories culminating in one big sequence."

11/11/2009 - Belgian actress Cecile de France has signed to star opposite Matt Damon in Clint Eastwood's supernatural drama Hereafter for Warner Bros., according to Variety.  Hereafter, penned by Peter Morgan, tells the story of three people who are touched by death in different ways.  Principal photography began last month, produced by Eastwood, Kathleen Kennedy and Robert Lorenz. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Peter Morgan and Tim Moore are the exec producers.  Filming will take place in Paris, London, Hawaii and San Francisco. Pic is slated for release in December 2010.

9/18/09 - Clint Eastwood and Matt Damon are teaming for the supernatural thriller film Hereafter, according to The Hollywood Reporter; Eastwood will direct the screenplay by Peter Morgan, with Damon stepping in to the lead role; filming is set to begin this fall, the trade paper reported.

11/14/08 - Clint Eastwood is in talks to direct the supernatural thriller Hereafter for DreamWorks, based on a script by Peter Morgan, Variety reported.  DreamWorks principals Steven Spielberg and Stacey Snider picked up the spec script.  The plot details are being kept under wraps, but it is described as in the vein of The Sixth Sense.  Kathleen Kennedy is producing.

03/28/08 - DreamWorks has acquired Hereafter, a supernatural spec thriller script by Peter Morgan.  The movie is in the vein of The Sixth Sense.
