Goliath

1/7/11 - Relativity Media is setting up a Goliath project as an action film with Scott Derrickson in negotiations to direct.  Film is based on a screenplay by John D. Payne & Patrick McKay. Ryan Kavanaugh and Temple Hill's Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen are producing and Tucker Tooley is exec producing.  Project's being developed as a retelling of the biblical tale of David and Goliath set in ancient times but with a modern feel.  Story will focus on Goliath being sent to track down the foretold king of the Israelites, the young shepherd David, with an epic chase climaxing in the battle between the two.
