God of War

10/1/08 - UGO.com reported that Brett Ratner will helm God of War, based on the fantasy video-game series.  The game centers on Kratos who offers his life and servitude to the god of war, Ares, in exchange for salvation. Ares, who in turn saw the makings of a God in this mortal, heeded the plea and instructs Kratos to build an army and use it to conquer areas of Greece. To serve as weapons, Ares gives Kratos the Blades of Chaos, two short-bladed swords connected to long whip-like chains. They were seared to Kratos's arms, impossible to remove, as a reminder of his pledge.
