2/13/09 - Director Curtis Hanson is in negotiations to helm the long-gestating sci-fi action thriller Gemini Man, which is taking shape at Touchstone Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  David Benioff wrote the script, about a brilliant, aging assassin trying to leave the game whose employers dispatch a clone of his younger self to take him out.  The concept allows for some techno-wizardry whereby an older actor with a long career would be cast, and his younger likeness would be digitally grafted onto a stuntman's body. A similar trick was employed with Jet Li in The One, though not with the generational twist. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing.

12/31/06 - Walt Disney Pictures has asked David Benioff to write his take to this movie.  The story is about an over-the-hill hitman forced to do battle with a younger clone of himself. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce.
