Frankenstein (Prodigal Son) 2/16/10 - Dean Koontz’s best selling Frankenstein book series will be brought to the big screen. According to Variety, Dave McNary, Ralph Winter and Terry Botwick have acquired the feature rights to Dean Koontz's Frankenstein through their 1019 Entertainment banner. Koontz’s revisionist take on the Mary Shelley classic, places Dr. Frankenstein in 21st Century New Orleans. The doctor now goes by the name Victor Helios, and is the head of a bio tech company which plans to create a “New Race” of supermen. His monster, now called Deucalion, comes complete with Tibetan monk tattoos and the power of teleportation.
