11/24/08 - Pascal Laugier will direct Paramount Vantage's horror thriller Details, based on a short story by SF author China Mieville, Variety reported.  Laugier wrote the script for Blumhouse Productions; Jason Blum and Steven Schneider of Blumhouse will produce with Ian Levy.  Details centers on a daughter who disappears after awakening supernatural forces that inhabit the random patterns of everyday objects. Dan Kay wrote the original adaptation.
