Deadman

5/17/12 - In development at The CW is Eric Kripke's adaptation of DC Comics' Deadman, which centers on the spirit of a trapeze artist, Boston Brand, who is murdered, and continues to live on by inhabiting other people's bodies and helping them resolve conflicts and issues in their lives. Deadman could potentially be part of the network's 2013-14 development cycle.

 

8/26/11 - The CW is developing an adaptation of DC Comics' Deadman, by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino, with Eric Kripke writing and executive producing, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Deadman centers on the spirit of a trapeze artist, Boston Brand, who is murdered, and continues to live on by inhabiting other people's bodies and helping them resolve conflicts and issues in their lives. 

 

9/1/09 - Warner Brothers is moving forward on bringing DC Comics' supernatural superhero Deadman to the screen, according to Variety.  Guillermo del Toro will produce. Danish filmmaker Nikolaj Arcel will direct.  The character Deadman was created by comic book legends Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino. Deadman is Boston Brand, a circus acrobat who is murdered and who in the afterlife is granted, by the goddess Rama Kushna, the ability to endure as a ghost who can control the bodies of the living in order to avenge his own death and further cause of justice.  Angry Films' Don Murphy will produce with del Toro.
