6/22/11 - Pixar just announced its upcoming feature Brave, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Set for release on June 22, 2012, Brave, directed by Mark Andrews, is Pixar's first fairy tale fantasy. The animated film, which includes a voice cast led by Emma Thompson, Kelly Macdonald, Julie Walters, Craig Ferguson and Kevin McKidd, centers on a Scottish princess Merida who defies her parents by pursuing archery. In doing so, Merida accidentally jeopardizes her dad's kingdom.
