Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome

1/26/11 - Blastr.com reported that Luke Pasqualino will play William Adama as a rookie Viper pilot during the first Cylon war in Syfy’s new series BSG: Blood and Chrome.  Pasqualino will star as the young, talented fighter pilot William Adama, a recent Academy graduate who finds himself assigned to the newest Battlestar in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with Coker (Cotton), the battle-weary officer to whom he reports. With 45 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine mission turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.

10/22/10 – Variety reported that Syfy has given a two-hour pilot order to Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome.  Script puts the storyline directly between the events of "Battlestar Galactica" and its prequel, "Caprica.”  Blood & Chrome will be exec produced by David Eick. Michael Taylor wrote the teleplay from a story by Eick, Bradley Thompson and David Weddle.  Pilot takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war and introduces Edward James Olmos' character, Ensign William Adama, as he finds himself assigned to the Galactica, the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet.
