25/8
3/3/09 – SCI FI Wire reported that Wes Craven, who wrote and directed the upcoming supernatural horror movie 25/8, said the film is shaping up in the editing suite. 25/8 is the first script that Craven has written since 1994's New Nightmare; it centers on a group of teens stalked by a killer who died on the day each of them was born. Craven cast relatively unknown young actors. The director marveled at what he considers their breakthrough performances in 25/8. "The performances are great," Craven said. "The kids are wonderful. There are seven kids—actually eight, because there is an older sister who's 19. The other kids are all 16. The kids are virtually undiscovered and all terrific. The film's really coming together in nice ways. I'm very excited about it." 25/8 is aiming for a fall release, but there is no firm date yet.
7/29/08 - Wes Craven wrote and directed the upcoming supernatural horror film 25/8. "It's what I call my shower thoughts," Craven said. "Occasionally I'll just have an idea. I'm completely, like, shampoo in my eyes and everything, and you just have to jump out of the shower and write it down." The movie is set in the sleepy town of Riverton, where legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Sixteen years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer: Adam "Bug" Heller (Max Thierot), who was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane. 25/8 is slated for release later this year or early next.
