Creature from the Black Lagoon: Time's Black Lagoon by Paul Di Filippo This book has been sitting in my pile of books to read for some time. After I bought it, I didn't think I'd like it so it stayed at the bottom of my pile. However, I have to say that I wish I had picked this one up sooner. The Creature from the Black Lagoon has been revisited and Paul Di Filippo does an excellent job at writing the new spin. It's about time travel and the origin of the Creature and setting things right. The story is a little sticky in the beginning and has a tough getting started but if you can get through the first hundred pages you'll certainly be rewarded with a great middle and finish. The timing of this book is probably good since there has been commitments to remaking the original film. Grab a copy and add it to your book collection.

I just finished David Wellington's third zombie book in the Monster series titled Monster Planet. I thoroughly enjoyed all three books and wanted to find out more about the author, his writing approach, and other things that interests him. David has been traveling quite a bit lately, spreading the word about his newest book, 99 Coffins. I'm appreciative of David's time participating in this interview.
